Recent News and Updates

Sep 24, 2009 Later in 2010 our members can benefit from on-line ordering from Patterson and Co.
Nov 2, 2008 Spare parts package: the doo-dads you are desperately trying to describe to us are probably available in this collection. [4] Flex Brackets/screws, [4] Hanger Brackets/screws, [2] Dehumidifier Clips/screws, [2] Stand-offs (short), [3] Universal Tank Heater Bar Clips, Velcro, [2] Pin Pegs, Clamp/screw/wingnut for fill tube. If you see a lot of systems, consider keeping a couple packs on hand.
Jun 20, 2008 Pitcher reminder: there are 2 replacement pitchers available at this point. The first is the white rectangular pitcher that you are familiar with -- it comes with the system and fits the larger, more recent tube. The second product is the Watering Can with Reducer. This can is exactly the same pitcher but with the following added elements: 1] an adaptor is included which fits permanently onto the smaller, old-style tube at the piano, allowing normal filling, 2] the sticker on the can allows the older type of humidifier to be properly filled, including a written explanation as well as a different red line location.
Jan 30, 2008 Please be advised that older components and system iterations can not be supported in 2008 and beyond. Although we make every attempt to assist when technicians "repair" old systems, time-wasting multiple service calls have been necessary on many occasions. There are more variables involved than first meets the eye. More importantly, as your distributor, we are simply unable to procure parts due to discontinued H2, H3, and H4 style components. Go modular and replace those old systems! [Just last week you probably saw a rusted out humidifier bracket in a 20 year old system].
Aug 8 , 2007 Patterson and Co has returned to the 24/7 telephone approach. This means that our 1-800 number will once again forward to an appropriate mobile representative, to give you, our members, the highest possible chance of reaching us and getting immediate service.
Feb 18, 2007 Don't forget about the new H-D humidistat. It is the long-awaited humidistat which accepts ONLY dehumidifiers. It's available alone or in a 3-pack with 50 watt dehumidifiers.
Sep 6, 2006 The new H5 is accompanied with many changes. The low water sensor now plugs in with a phone style jack; the LED lights now come in a 2-light panel with a [modified] phone style jack; the Smart Bracket is a separate component that snaps on to the humidifier heater and plugs into the humidistat; the red LED for the Smart bracket now snaps on to the 2-light panel to make a Smart System. There isn't much you will recognise among these components.
Apr 10, 2006 An update on the new modular system components: the new systems should be available within a few months.
We will keep you informed as the time gets closer.
Jan 22, 2006 Look for system improvements in 2006. You will see the ushering in of the modular era for climate control systems. This new concept involves snap-on components that can be more easily exchanged or interchanged.
Progress marches on. The next generation of humidistat is likely to accompany the newer-style systems. You've asked for better servicibility when switching out parts, and this will be one element that improves for installers. Will you still need to lay under a grand piano? Well, yes. That hasn't changed yet.
May 6, 2005 Our website is up, at long last! Thanks to all those who contributed, and also to those who waited so patiently for us to "take a firm step into the twentieth century."
